Chances are that you clicked on this post thinking “Why on Earth would I want to corrupt my files?” There are a number of sneaky and unethical reasons:
- You aren’t able to finish a project or essay by the deadline (when you try to send your file to somebody or open it it will be found to be corrupted, and you can act surprised and blame it on technical problems)
- A prank
- Procrastination at its worst
The reason I bring this up is because discovered a cool service made by Neddy Winter. This service, Document Corruptor, takes Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents and corrupts them. That is, it destroys the file code to the point that it can’t open. The file still appears as the document you would expect it to.
So, if one of the above reasons relates to you, check Document Corruptor out at http://neddyy.net/docs/
